Our services
anxiety and depression
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at any point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you discover motivation, perspective, and joy that you are seeking.
Stress and Life Transitions
Life transitions therapy helps you measure those choices and navigate both the parts you can control and the parts you can’t. It helps you prioritize what’s important during a transition, and helps you find your identity during all the turmoil. And at the end of all the extra stuff, it gives you someone to talk to as you go through a hard thing.
Children/Adolescents/teens
Trauma in a child’s formative years can often lead to developmental, mental health and physical health problems later in childhood, adolescence, or adulthood – by intervening early many of these outcomes can be avoided, truly changing the trajectory of these children’s lives.
Adolescence is a critical stage in life. During this developmental stage perspectives are being formed. This time can influence the development of personality and general outlook. Giving your teen the tools they need to build resilience and skills can be beneficial for them throughout their lives. As a parent, you have the power to guide your teen down the path.
Teen years can be filled with trials and tribulations. No matter how solid and happy a childhood, your teen will inevitably face challenges as they grow. This developmental period is full of change and growth, some for the better and some seemingly less than ideal for a time. Finding solutions to problems and trials can be important and beneficial for your teen.
Parenting/Family therapy
Family relationships can be damaged for many reasons. Conflicts can arise from varying views and hurt feelings over both serious and petty issues: finances, house chores, jealousy, etc. Ignored, these conflicts can lead to painful rifts between family members. Resolution of these issues and rebuilding and strengthening of family ties are possible with counseling.
LGBTQIA+/Gender Identity struggles
It’s important to find a therapist who understands your unique needs and the complexities of sexual orientation/identity. We work with a wide range of folx who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, queer, asexual, genderqueer, non-binary, questioning, and anything in between. Whatever you’re going through, we strive to be affirming, supportive, allied and competent providers for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Grief and Loss
The sudden loss of someone or something important to you can be devastating. Whether it’s an unborn child, relationship, separation from family, or a beloved pet, the suddenness of the loss can be overwhelming and heartbreaking. You may experience grief that can last for quite a while, feeling numb with lots of complicated emotions, such as guilt, blame, regret, and anger.
Grief is a natural human reaction that is bound to pass depending on how you move through the process. Some people are able to find acceptance sooner rather than later, while others may be left to feel that grief is overpowering their lives. Time does not heal all wounds without intervention, and you may find yourself feeling consumed with grief.
